He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and the National Excellent Youth Science Fund, and serves as the Deputy Director of the National Engineering and Technology Research Center for Agricultural Intelligent Equipment and the Director of the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Sensors of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He received his Bachelor's degree in Physics and Master's degree in Optics from the Department of Physics, Harbin Institute of Technology during September 1995 to July 2001, and earned his PhD in Optical Engineering from the Department of Precision Instruments, Tsinghua University from September 2001 to July 2005. Since August 2005, he has been working at the Institute of Optoelectronic Engineering, Department of Precision Instruments, Tsinghua University, taking the positions of assistant researcher, associate professor and professor successively. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of California, Santa Cruz from January 2009 to December 2009, and at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 2014 to December 2014. His research mainly focuses on holographic imaging and holographic display technology. He is a Fellow of SPIE (International Society for Optics and Photonics) and Optica. |
